Recycle Holiday Schedule follow the City's Garbage Holiday Schedule. Please view the holiday schedule here.
All carts and materials need to be placed at the street by 7:00am and removed by 7:00pm on your collection day. Carts should be located 5 feet away from any obstructions, garbage cart, mail box, shrubbery, or anything that would otherwise prevent collection by automated trucks. The cart handle and wheels should face your house. Carts that are not properly placed cannot be collected. Loose materials that are placed outside of your container cannot be collected.

Recycling Convenience Centers:
The Alamance County Landfill provides three satellite recycling locations for your convenience. Visit their website to learn which recyclables are accepted at each site. Or call the Alamance County Landfill at 376-8902 for additional information.
The City cannot accept any type of fluorescent tubes or lamps, including the compact fluorescent bulbs, in household trash. We are encouraging everyone to begin recycling these bulbs at one of several recycling centers that are already available.
