The City of Burlington provides sanitation services in multi-family developments where our existing method of collection is feasible. The city’s current method of collection is with automated trucks collecting roll-out carts at each unit. To be considered for service, the Home Owner’s Association (HOA) or owner of a site must submit a Request Form. Once the form is received then the Public Works Department will conduct an assessment of the development to determine if it is possible for the city to provide service. Certain improvements may be required such as turnarounds to allow for the safe movement of sanitation vehicles within the site. If a site is approved for service then the city’s current Sanitation Fees would apply.
