Dark In The Park Halloween Activities

Haunted Train at City Park
October 28th-30th, 7:00pm-10:00pm
October 31st, 6:00pm-12:00midnight
All Ages
Admission: $4.00 per person
Burlington City Park
Leading up to the scariest night of the year, the Recreation & Parks Department will sponsor their annual “Haunted Train Ride” at Burlington City Park amusement area. Classic monsters, like Frankenstein, Dracula, Werewolf, the Mummy, and the Creature from the Black Lagoon will all be on hand as the train rides through their areas of resting. If you love a good scare and don’t mind your heart racing, then plan on joining us for a Halloween tradition. Don’t come alone!

We will have events like the Haunted Train, Costume Contests, Carnival Games, Pumpkin Chunking’ & candy for trick or treating. Then at dusk, our annual Halloween Fireworks show will fill the night air with colorful splashes of color hitting the sky. Plan now to join us for this exciting time of year. The amusement park rides official last day for operation will be Monday, October 31st, so don’t miss out!


Activity Line-Up:
5:00pm Amusement rides & inflatable rides open
5:30pm Registration at Gazebo for Costume Contest
6:00pm Carnival Games & Costume Contest begins
7:00pm Registration for Punkin’ Chunkin’ Contest
7:30pm Punkin’ Chunkin’ Contest

Attention – All Non-Profit Organizations!
Do you need funding for activities and programs for your service organization? If so, Burlington Recreation and Parks is inviting you to host a carnival game booth on Halloween Night, Monday, October 31st in the City Park from 6:00pm-10:00pm. For the cost of $10.00, your non-profit group will receive a 20’x20’ booth space and candy to hand out for trick or treating. All revenues will go back to your organization! For more information or to reserve a booth, please call 229-3148 or 222-5030. Registration deadline is Wednesday, October 26th.
