The Burlington Police Department wants to know if you can see yourself in their uniform. Find out if serving with the Burlington Police Department is the right fit for you at the Burlington Police Department Recruitment Open House on May 19, 2018.
Potential recruits will gain insight into what it is like to be a Burlington Police officer. Potential recruits can watch demonstrations of the BPD K9 Unit, Special Response Team, Motorcycle Unit, and of the Police Officers Physical Agility Test. Recruits will receive guided station tours and have opportunities to discuss benefit packages and the application process, one-on-one, with a Human Resources staff member.
The BPD welcomes college seniors preparing for full-time employment, students currently enrolled in a Basic Law Enforcement Training program, professionals considering a career change, and sworn Law Enforcement Officers interested in making a move to a different agency.

Burlington Recreation & Parks presents the 20th annual Lori Brady Foster Memorial Kids Bank Fishing in the Park for ages 1 - 15. Space is limited to the first 100 registered. Everyone is a winner, but you must be present to win. Each child will receive a participation grab bag along with free pizza & drink. Parents/guardians must accompany their child with fishing rod, only one rod per child. Prizes and gift certificates will be drawn for each child in attendance immediately following the fishing event.
