PARC 2010 begins on: July 1st, 2010
Completed PARC Passport must be received no later than: October 1st, 2010
Alamance PARC (Physical Activity & Recreation Challenge) Passport Program is a NEW way for families and friends to come together and explore new recreational activities. Alamance County has a lot to offer from walking trails, to beautiful rivers and lakes, and exciting sports!
PARC is a way to relieve stress, increase self-esteem, help lose a few extra pounds, maintain a healthy weight, lower blood pressure, and decrease the risk of chronic diseases such as cancer, heart disease, and diabetes. PLUS it is a FREE Summer Adventure for you and your family!
On behalf of Healthy Alamance and all of the partners who made this program possible, it is our goal that you will increase your physical activity levels as a result of participating in PARC and familiarize yourself with all the local Recreation & Parks Department services has to offer.
Use the FREE Passport as a guide for visiting the local parks and finding your sticker at each! Hints on each park page, in the booklet, will lead you to a specific location in the park where you will be able to pick up your sticker. Then place the sticker in the corresponding box in your booklet. After you've collected all 10 stickers and filled your booklet, mail it in to enter yourself for prize drawings!
