The Burlington Tennis Center is a state of the art facility offering twelve courts for open and tournament play. It is located off of Overbrook Road next to the Aquatics Center in City Park. Lessons, youth programs, men and women's nights and much more are all features of this facility. The center is under the direction of Tennis Director John Walton, along with a summer staff. The center has been recognized by the United States Tennis Association for being listed as one of the Outstanding Tennis Facilities located in the United States and is an official Tennis Welcome Center.

The center's 12 hard surface lighted courts are positioned in four groups of three courts for privacy when playing. A tennis pavilion with a pro shop is located on site offering balls, grips, and racquet stringing.

Not only does this facility serve the surrounding community, but it also plays host to regional and State Finals for boys and girls high school tournaments as well as sanctioned USTA Tournaments such as the Burlington Futures Novice Tournament.  The BTC also hosts several collegiate tournaments. Programs are offered for all ages.

Residents are classified as City of Burlington residents. All residents outside the City of Burlington limits are considered non-residents.

Aces & Deuces Tennis Camp
  • Beginning June 15th (5 week session)

This Burlington Recreation & Parks camp is a beginner to intermediate tennis camp with basic instruction. 

Summer Specialty Camp - Beginner Tennis Camp

  • Fee: $40 per person

The BTC serves as the host site of the successful camp that teaches children the basic skills of tennis development and play.  Balls and racquets will be provided.  Space is limited.  Please call (336) 222-5072 for more information. 
Girls Middle & High School Tennis Camp

The Burlington Recreation & Parks girls’ tennis camp is an intermediate to advanced tennis camp focusing on conditioning, drills and play.  
Beginner Tennis Clinics

  • Cost: $5 per half hour

Join Burlington Recreation & parks for a beginner tennis clinic to learn the aspects of playing tennis.  Racquets and balls will be provided.  
Junior Match-Ups
  • Saturdays 
  • 10am – 12pm
  • Ages: 8-18
  • Cost: $5 for 2 hours of play

Burlington Recreation & Parks invites kids and teens to play with strategy at the singles and doubles match ups on Saturdays.  
Junior Clinics

  • Cost: $10.00

Burlington Recreation & Parks invites kids and teens to tennis clinics focusing on conditioning, drills and play.  The clinic will be using ball feeds. 

Alamance Junior Tennis Foundation
From its humble beginnings in the 1980s to its current status as leading supporter of junior tennis in and around the community, the Alamance Junior Tennis Foundation (AJTF) has grown into a wellrespected charitable organization.  Although members of the executive committee may have changed over the years, the AJTF mission has not.  The foundation continues to promote and support the game of tennis to juniors in Burlington and Alamance County.  Through its efforts, the foundation has been instrumental in accomplishing the following…
  • Initiated and partially funded over $300,000 worth of new and renovated tennis facilities in the area
  • Provided various tennis scholarships to local tennis camps
  • Furnished over $40,000 to local high school tennis teams
  • Offered free clinics to the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Clubs
  • Offered free workships to high school coaches and clinics to high school teams
  • Held annual tennis banquet and tournament for high school and middle school players
  • Coordinated and funded various programs including
    • Fall and Spring middle school tennis program
    • Summer Junior Tennis League
    • Aces and Deuces Tennis Camp (beginner instructional camp)
