Crimestoppers is a program that involves the public, the media and the police in the fight against crime. It offers anonymity and cash rewards to persons who furnish information leading the arrest of suspects. Each week, facts about unsolved felony crimes are aired on radio, television and cablevision, printed in various newspapers and circulated to |
various enforcement agencies throughout the area. Citizens are asked to call Crimestoppers with any information regarding the crime. All calls are kept in complete confidence. Citizens supplying information leading to an arrest are eligible for a reward of up to $2,500.00. The Crimestoppers Board determines the amount of the award.
The Burlington Police Department also has a Campus Crimestoppers Program designed to enable students a way to report crimes and remain anonymous.
The Burlington Police Department is seeking information on various crimes that have occurred in the City of Burlington. If anyone with information on any of the crimes listed has information that may assist with the investigation, they are asked to contact Crimestoppers or the Burlington Police Department. Persons with information may remain anonymous and all information is confidential. Crimestoppers may pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest of person(s) involved. Since it’s beginning, the Alamance County-Wide CRIME STOPPERS Program has paid in excess of $70,000.00 for information.

The CRIMESTOPPERS Program is seeking confidential information on the following crime:
Detectives with the Burlington Police Department are seeking information on a Common Law Robbery that occurred at 415 Logan St. on Jan. 21th, 2012. Victim stated that three(3) B/Ms were at his home visiting a mutual friend. The men left and came back a few minutes later. Once they re-entered his home one of the men ask the victim for money. When the victim refused to give him any money the suspect punched the victim repeatedly while the other two men stole his pants which had his wallet and a large amount of money. Suspect left in a dark colored vehicle that appeared to be a Ford Crown Victoria. Only description is that one of the suspect had what appeared to be a tattoo of a bird on his face.
Detectives with the Burlington Police Department are seeking information in reference to an Attempted Armed Robbery that occurred in the 700 block of E. Davis St. on Jan 22th, 2012 at 11:30pm. Victim stated he was approached by a B/M in the 700 block of E. Davis St. The suspect assaulted the victim and told him he had a gun. Suspect went through the victims pockets but did not take anything. The suspect told the victim to meet him back at the same location in 20 minutes with money or he would shoot into his residence with the firearm. Suspect was described as B/M early 20’s, 5’10” medium build, no facial hair, wearing a black colored hoodie.
Detectives with the Burlington Police Department are seeking information on a larceny that occurred at 1699 Memorial Dr. between Jan 6th, 2012 and Jan 7th, 2012. The Larceny occurred at United Way of Alamance County. An unknown person(s) stole an air condition unit from the north side of the building
Detectives with the Burlington Police Department are seeking information on a First Degree Burglary, Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, and Assault Inflicting Serious injury that occurred at 506 Key St. on Jan. 9th, 2012 at 9:30pm. Victim stated that two B/Ms entered the residence armed with handguns and demanded money. One of the B/M assaulted the victim. The suspects left the residence with an undetermined amount of money and two handguns from the robbery. Both suspects had on grey hoodies and black gloves with one of the suspect having a semi-automatic handgun
Detectives with the Burlington Police Department are seeking information on a Injury to Real Property that occurred at Williams High School located at 1307 S. Church St between 12/20/11 and 01/03/12. Victim reports that an unknown person(s) broke a window out in the career development section of the school and discharged a fire extinguisher into the office. Damage is estimated between $2000.00 and $5000.00 to equipment that was located in the office. There are no known suspects at this time.

Detectives with the Burlington Police Department are seeking information on an Armed Robbery that occurred at Rite Stop Mart located at 507 N Graham Hopedale Rd at 11:27pm on 12/23/11.
Victim stated that two heavy set B/Ms entered the store and demanded money. One of the B/Ms had a silver colored handgun. Suspect #1 was heavy set wearing camouflage pants, white shirt, black coat, a face mask and had a silver semi automatic handgun in his right hand. Suspect #2 was heavy set wearing jeans, black hoodie, face mask and black gloves.
Detectives with the Burlington Police Department are seeking information in reference to an Armed Robbery that occurred at 327 Vance St. on 12/11/11 at 1:58am. Victim stated that she parked her vehicle on the road in front of her residence and walked to her porch when a B/M pointed a gun to her head and demanded the she give him everything that she had. When she refused he took her car keys and ran toward Fisher Street. The suspect is described as a young B/M short and heavy set wearing a white hat and a long sleeve shirt with stripes.
Detectives with the Alamance Co. Sheriff’s Department are seeking information on an Armed Robbery that occurred at Northcrest Market located at 2103 North Hwy 87 Elon on 12/30/11 at 7:57pm. Victim stated that an unknown B/M entered the business armed with a Glock handgun and robbed the business of money and took an employee’s cellphone. Suspect is described as a B/M possibly in his 20’s wearing a dark colored hoodie over a ball cap. His face covered with a black bandanna with white checkered designs on it. The suspect may have a mole or birthmark under his left eye.
Detectives with the Alamance County Sheriff Department is seeking information on a B&E and Larceny that occurred at 3966 S. NC 49, Burlington between 12/24/11 and 12/30/11.
Victim reports that unknown person(s) use forcible entry to the residence and did not appear to take anything from inside the residence. The suspects did remove two (2) heatpumps from the residence.

The CRIMESTOPPERS Program is seeking confidential information on the following crime:
Detectives with the Burlington Police Department are seeking information on a Breaking, Entering, and Larceny from vehicles located at 2115 Dorsett St. on 10/21/2011 at 0714hrs. Victim stated he left his vehicles parked in his driveway. There was no sign of forced entry to the vehicles. Stolen from the vehicles was the following: One Savage 306 rifle, One muzzle loader rifle, and one Ipad.
Detectives with the Burlington Police Department are seeking information in reference to a Common Law Robbery that occurred at 869 S. Main St. on 11/24/2011 at 1:48pm. The victim reported that a B/M approx. 6’ tall bald headed and wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans, and tan boots assaulted him as he walked thru the parking lot at the intersection of S. Main and S. Church St. The victim stated that the suspect approached him and ask for a cigarette then he asked for spare change, when he said he did not have either the suspect hit the victim in the eye and then in the ribs. The victim tried to run but fell and blacked out.
Detectives with the Burlington Police Department are seeking information on a Common Law Robbery that occurred at 3249 S. Church St. on 11/29/2011 at 1:46pm. Victim states that while walking to her vehicle she was approached by two (2) suspects. When she got to her vehicle the suspects kicked and struck her in the lower back until she fell. Once on the ground they held her against the vehicle and stole a money bag. Both suspects then ran toward the read of Southwood Square Shopping Center and into the woods. Suspect number 1 is described as a light skinned B/M approx.. 5’11” average weight. No physical description on second suspect.
Detectives with the Burlington Police Department are seeking information in reference to a Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon that occurred at 2223 E. Maple Ave on 12/8/11 at 1:55am. Victim states that four(4) B/M(s) entered the business and demanded money from the register and the safe. Victim was able to open the register but was unable to open the safe. The suspects took the money as well as a wallet belonging to a patron of the business. The suspects fled the business on foot toward Maple Ave. Two of the suspects decribed as being B/M approx. 16-24 years of age, weighting approx.. 150 lbs. One suspect wearing a dark blue hooded sweated shirt with Kentucky Wildcats on it. No description on the other suspects.
Detectives with the Burlington Police Department are seeking information on a Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon that occurred at 342 Lincoln St on 12/9/2011 at 5:29am. Victim stated that he was asleep on his couch when and unknown person knocked on his door. When the victim opened the door an unknown B/M entered the residence with a gun and demanded money. The victim gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect left in an unknown direction.

The CRIMESTOPPERS Program is seeking confidential information on the following crime:
Detectives with the Burlington Police Department are seeking information in reference to an Armed Robbery that occurred at the Fairway One Stop located at 704 Chapel Hill Rd on Oct 13th 2011 at 11:20 pm. Cashier stated that two unknown persons entered the business and one of the suspects had a handgun and demanded that everyone look down while the other suspect went behind the counter and removed the cash from the register. Suspect then left leaving the area on foot. Suspect #1 is a B/M 6’to 6’1” slender build mid to late 20’s wearing a black t-shirt black jeans, with a black face covering. Second suspect is a B/M 5’6” to 5’8” medium built, mid to late 20’s wearing all black with a black face covering .
Detectives with the Alamance County Sheriff Department is seeking information on a Breaking and Entering and Larceny that occurred at 4416 Cedar Cliff Rd, Graham on Sept 8th, 2011 between 7:15am and 3:45pm. Victim stated that someone entered his residence and stole an H&R .22 cal. Revolver and several pieces of jewelry and cash.
Detectives with the Burlington Police Department are seeking information in reference two individuals that they have obtained several warrants. The individuals are Andrew Davis, B/M DOB: 01/05/1992 and Peter Lorenzo Allen B/M DOB: 08/14/1991.
Detectives with the Alamance County Sheriff Department is seeking information on a Breaking and Entering and Larceny that occurred at 604 Hollis Way, Graham on Oct. 31th, 2011 at 200pm. Victim stated that unknown person(s) entered the residence and stole a Browning 210 shotgun and various pieces of jewelry valued at $3,600.00.

The CRIMESTOPPERS Program is seeking confidential information on the following crime:
Detectives with the Burlington Police Department are seeking information on a Breaking, Entering, and Larceny from a Residence located at 2703 Eldermont St. on July 25th 2011 at approx. 5:50pm. Victim reports that an unknown(s) broke into his residence by entering breaking out a window in the garage door and entering the house. Once inside the suspect(s) when thought the residence and stole jewelry, cash, and prescriptions plus several weapons. Stolen weapons include the following: LC Smith 12ga shotgun black in color, Mosberg 12ga shotgun black in color and a Remington 22 cal. Rifle Black in color.
Detectives with the Burlington Police Department are seeking information in reference to a Breaking, Entering, and Larceny from a residence located at 308 Foster St. on Aug. 9th 2011 between 10:00am and 4:00pm. Suspects stole suspect(s) stole miscellaneous jewelry and several weapons. Weapons stolen consisted of an automatic 12ga shotgun, two (2) double barrel 12ga shotguns, and a long barrel pistol.
Detectives with the Burlington Police Department are seeking information on an Assault that occurred in the area of 1903 Morningside Drive on July 8th 2011 at approximately 11:30pm. Victim stated that he was walking in the 1900blk of Morningside Dr. when two young black males assaulted him. Victim stated that one of the b/m called out to him and when he turned toward the one of them punched him in the face and then both started kicking and stomping him in the face and took his belonging.
Detectives with the Burlington Police Department are seeking information in reference to a Burglary and Vehicle theft that occurred at 3006 S Mebane St. between 11:30pm and 6:00am on July 27th 2011. Victim stated that he when to bed and realized when he got up that someone had entered his residence and stolen his clothing, car keys, and wheel chair while he was asleep. His vehicle that was stolen was recovered in Durham a few days later.
Detectives with the Burlington Police Department are seeking information on an Assault with a Deadly Weapon that occurred on the soccer field located at Burlington Christian Academy, located at 621 E Sixth St. on Aug. 16th 2011. Victim stated that while she was walking her dog that two (2) black males approached her and that the men held a knife to her neck. Victim stated that she struggled with them and that she escaped from them. Victim was able to escape without injury. Both b/m were in their early 20’s both being between 5”8” and 6” tall with average built.

Detectives with the Burlington Police Department are seeking information on a Breaking and Entering of a residence located at 1916 N NC Hwy 62 on 7/26/2011 at 6:03 pm. Victim reports that an unknown person(s) broke into his residence by kicking in the back door. Suspects stole a Century Gun Safe. Contents of the safe included a .22 cal Winchester Pump rifle Sn# 518859, SKS .7.62 cal rifle SN# A8217 a Thompson Centerfire Muzzle Loader SN# 235430 and a Inline Muzzle Loader.
Detectives with the Burlington Police Department are seeking information in reference to a Robbery and Assault that occurred on Aug 2, 2011 at approx. 1:52am in the 400 blk of Sixth St. Victim reported that he was walking in the 700 Blk of S Mebane St when he was approached by an unknown B/M asking him for money. When the victim refused the B/M the suspect hit the victim in the back of the head with an unknown object knocking him to the ground. The suspect continued hitting the victim until he lost consciousness. When the victim regained consciousness he realize his wallet and money had been taken. Suspect is described as a B/M 25/30 years of age, 5’10” medium build, wearing baggy pants and a baseball cap.
Detectives with the Graham Police Department are seeking information on an Armed Robbery that occurred at 506 E. Parker St near building 800 on July 15, 2011 at 11:45pm. Victim reported that four(4) Black males suspects held him at gunpoint in front of building 800 and stole his wallet containing financial cards and other items. Victim stated that the suspects ran up to him and his family from between buildings 700 and 900 at Cannon Place Apts. One of the suspects chased the wife into her apartment while other suspects held the daughter at gunpoint. All suspects had bandanas over their faces. Possible vehicle is an early to mid1990’s Lincoln town Car primer gray in color. Possible missing a right side rear hub cap.
Detectives with the Graham Police Department are seeking information on a Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle and Larceny that occurred on July 7, 2011 at Colonial Hardware. Victim reported that suspects entered a secured fence and stole an Outdoor Pedestal Clock bags of Hydrated Lyme, and a Flower Planter. The suspects also entered three (3) unlocked vehicles in the area.
Detectives with the Burlington Police Department are seeking information on an Attempted Robbery and Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury that occurred at 3402 S Church St in the parking lot of Red Bull Tavern at 2:25 am. Victim reported that he was approached by a B/M who attempted to rob him and that during the attempt the suspect shot him. Suspect is described as a B/M late 20’s to early 30’s 130 lbs braided hair, goatee, black t-shirt, and jeans. The suspect left running in an unknown direction.
